สุวรรณ คงขุนเทียน เป็นนักออกแบบไทยที่มีชื่อเสียงและประสบการณ์ยาวนานในวงการออกแบบไทย แบรนด์ Yothaka ของเขาก่อตั้งในปี 1989 หรือประมาณ 34 ปีที่ผ่านมา เขาเป็นหนึ่งในนักออกแบบไทยคนแรกๆ ที่เปิดตลาดในต่างประเทศ เช่น งานแฟร์ที่มิลานและฝรั่งเศส แม้เวลาจะผ่านไปนาน ลายเซ็นต์ในการออกแบบของเขายังคงโดดเด่นและมีการพัฒนาอย่างต่อเนื่อง

งานของโยธกามีความหลากหลายทั้งวัสดุธรรมชาติและสังเคราะห์ รวมถึงวัสดุในและนอกประเทศ เช่น ผักตบชวา ไม้ กระดาษจากสัปปะรด อะลูมิเนียม และเชือก การออกแบบของเขามีทิศทางที่ชัดเจน มีเส้นสายที่สะท้อนความเป็นไทยและวัฒนธรรมเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ ด้วยการเล่นกับโครงสร้างและลวดลายบนเฟอร์นิเจอร์

Suwan Kongkhunthian is a renowned Thai designer with extensive experience in the Thai design industry. His brand, Yothaka, was established in 1989, approximately 34 years ago. He was among the first Thai designers to venture into international markets, participating in fairs in Milan and France. Despite the passage of time, his distinctive design signature continues to evolve and stand out.

Yothaka’s work features a diverse range of materials, both natural and synthetic, sourced from both domestic and international origins, such as water hyacinth, solid wood, pineapple paper, aluminum, and rope. His designs are characterized by a clear direction, reflecting Thai aesthetics and Southeast Asian culture, with a focus on innovative structures and patterns in furniture.
